The $175 Must-make Card š

Sometimes it's fun to step outside the traditional rectangle and create a card that's a celebration before it's even opened! This banner-shaped birthday card does exactly that, and it's surprisingly easy to make with the Party Dies Bundle, which includes both the Party Banners DiesĀ and Party Alphabet Dies.

To create the card base, I started with a 4-1/4" x 11" piece of Timid Tiger cardstock, folded it in half, and positioned the fifth-largest banner die so the top edge extended just beyond the folded edge. That simple trick keeps the fold intact, creating one large banner-shaped card instead of cutting two separate pieces. It's one of my favorite ways to create custom-shaped cards while still keeping them easy to assemble.
For the layered banner, I used the seventh-largest banner die with the gorgeous Splash of Sparkles Designer Series Paper. The playful diagonal stripes and gold foil accents instantly make this card feel festive! The oversized "HB"Ā was die cut from the more subtle Timid Tiger pattern in the same paper collection. Before assembling the letters, I stamped them with the confetti image from the Balloon FestoonĀ stamp set using Timid Tiger ink. Offsetting the patterned letters over gold foil die cuts creates just the right amount of sparkle and helps the greeting really pop against the background.

A simple birthday greeting from the Balloon FestoonĀ stamp set stretches across the front, while a soft Gold Striped Mesh RibbonĀ tied into a bow finishes the design with a touch of elegance.

Inside, I added another banner-shaped layer in Basic White, leaving plenty of room to write a personal birthday message. A pair of sweet Bubble BathĀ balloons, die cut from the Splash of Sparkles Designer Series Paper with the smallest Balloon Festoon die, adds just enough decoration to carry the party theme inside without taking away all the writing space.

So do you get it? With the Party Bundle Dies priced at $125 in my online store and the Balloon Festoon Bundle, priced at $50.25, you can easily see how I came up with the $175 card. But the possibilities of all these products are countless and priceless. You can find links to all the products I've used on this card below.
This design proves that a simple shape change, a few layers, and a little gold foil can transform an everyday birthday card into something truly unforgettable!
Happy creating!
