The 12 Projects of Christmas 2026: Project #5

It's time for Project #5 of The 12 Projects of Christmas 2026, and this one is blooming with Christmas cheer! 🎄❤️

For today's card, I'm combining beautiful Designer Series Paper, gorgeous texture, and a stunning poinsettia that practically jumps off the card!

The star of the show is the Pretty Poinsettia Dies. I used Real Red cardstock for the flower, Garden Green for the leaves, and just a touch of Crushed Curry for the center. The detail in these dies is absolutely gorgeous!

Here's what makes them extra special: Pretty Poinsettia Dies are Impressions Dies! That means you'll run them through your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine twice—once to cut the shapes and again with the Impressions Plate to emboss them. That second pass creates deeper, more defined impressions in the petals and leaves. Trust me, you'll want to touch this flower!

For the background, I turned to the Hearth & Home Designer Series Paper. This paper comes with coordinating patterns in 3" x 3" and 4" x 4" squares, but don't let those sizes limit your creativity! I cut the patterns to create a beautiful geometric background that perfectly showcases the poinsettia.

I layered those colorful pieces onto Basic White cardstock embossed with the Softly Woven 3D Embossing Folder. The subtle woven texture adds another wonderful layer of interest without competing with the flower.

To pull everything together, I layered the finished panel onto Real Red cardstock and then a Poppy Parade card base. Both reds are featured in the Designer Series Paper, making them a beautiful combination!

This card has so much dimension and texture, yet the design is surprisingly approachable.

Be sure to watch the video! I'll show you how the pieces come together and demonstrate how those Impressions Dies create such incredible detail.

Happy Stamping!
