The 12 Projects of Christmas 2026: Project #4 - Alternate Paper Pumpkin Project

Oh, my goodness! Project #4 of The 12 Projects of Christmas 2026 is a real showstopper! We're making a Star Fun Fold Card using the October 2026 Noel Greetings Paper Pumpkin kit!

This card looks complicated, but it's really a series of scored and folded pieces that come together to create a beautiful dimensional star. And yes, it still fits into a standard-size envelope! I used Pecan Pie Two-Tone Cardstock to keep the layers thin.

The star begins with six pieces measuring 4" × 4 1/2". Score two pieces at 1", 2", and 3" along the 4" side. Score the other four at 1/2", 1 1/2", 2 1/2", and 3 1/2".

Fold and adhere the four pieces with half-inch score lines to a 4 1/2" × 4 1/4" Pecan Pie cardstock base, placing two on each side. Then tuck the remaining two folded pieces between them to complete the star. I'll include screenshots to help you see exactly how everything fits together!

For decoration, I cut twelve 7/8" × 4 1/8" strips from two kit card bases and used the kit's beautiful die cuts.

And there's a surprise on the back! A 2 3/8" × 8 1/4" piece of Pecan Pie Two-Tone Cardstock, folded in half, creates a little card within the card. Two 2 1/4" × 4" Basic Beige layers, cut from a kit envelope, finish the inside and outside. I stamped the greeting using the kit's stamp set and added Gold Adhesive-Backed Dots.

No Paper Pumpkin Kit? No Problem!

Here's the REALLY exciting part! You don't need the Noel Greetings Paper Pumpkin kit to make this card!

The Neutral Noel Suite Collection is a fantastic alternative! Its elegant Designer Series Paper, coordinating colors, and Christmas imagery would look gorgeous on this fun fold. Simply substitute the suite's paper for the patterned strips and use the coordinating stamps and dies for the decorations.

Same fabulous fold, completely different possibilities!

Watch my video for the assembly, and don't forget to check out the screenshots above.

Once you understand how the pieces fit together, you'll be ready to make another!

Happy Stamping!

Amy ❤️
