It's not often I use two different Paper Pumpkin kits for two separate 12 Projects of Christmas projects. In fact, this is the first time this has ever happened! With my recent time away from my studio, I've taken a bit of a break from the 12 Projects, but I'm back with Project #9, made with November's Wrapped in Cheer Paper Pumpkin kit. As always, if you are not a Paper Pumpkin subscriber, this simple fun fold card would look amazing with other products, as well.
Not only is this Project #9 AND an alternate Paper Pumpkin project, but it's also a gift card holder! Check this out:

When designing this alternate Paper Pumpkin project the week of Thanksgiving, I knew I 1)needed to keep it simple, and 2)needed to use lots of supplies from the kit to simplify the cutting paper process for the Paper Pumpkin Party I hold for my subscribers.
Here are the supplies from the kit that I used to create the card (plus the Cherry Cobbler tag, which I missed in the photo).

I used the treat box for two things on the card: the circle cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies, and the inside gift card pocket, measuring 2 5/8" x 1 1/2".
I cut the top and bottom edges off the green striped tag so that it measures 3 7/8" tall, then I cut the tag in half so I ended up with two pieces 7/8" x 3 7/8".
Let's take a closer look at the card base. I cut it 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", which is a normal size, but then cut slits in the card 1 1/4" from each side, going from the bottom of the card to the score line.

I then adhered those flaps to the back of the card using Stampin' Seal so that the middle section is the only part of the card that opens.
Next, let's look at the pocket. I didn't just cut the 2 5/8" x 1 1/2" pocket to the inside panel using liquid glue around three edges. Instead I created a gusset so the pocket isn't flat against the card.

The side gussets measure 1" x 1 1/4", scored and folded in half lengthwise, then adhered to the back of the pocket. The bottom gusset measures 1 3/4" x 1". After the gussets were adhered to the pocket, I then adhered it to the center of the card.

Magical.
