A Baby Shower to Remember

Last week, my heart grew in the sweetest way—I officially became a grandma! 🩷 Little Mabel has already captured all of our hearts, but the excitement actually started months earlier at her Winnie the Pooh-themed baby shower. One of my daughter-in-law's friends supplied the most incredible decorations (and even on-theme cookies), and knowing it was going to be awesome, I knew I couldn't show up with an ordinary gift. If there was ever a time to combine family and paper crafting, this was it!

Thankfully, Stampin' Up!® had just the answer with the adorable Silly Old Bear Designer Series Paper. It was absolutely perfect for wrapping Mabel's gift, and I couldn't resist taking things a little further. I created a personalized "Mabel" banner to decorate the gift table and made Bit O Honey party favors for each guest. They fit the Winnie the Pooh theme perfectly and were such a fun little thank-you for everyone celebrating our newest family member.

The favor boxes are surprisingly simple to make! Start with a piece of 4" x 7" Early Espresso cardstock. Score along the 4" side at 1/2" from each end. Then turn the cardstock and score along the 7" side at 1", 1-1/2", and 4-1/4". Cut the cardstock as shown in the template, fold on the score lines, and assemble with your favorite adhesive. The finished box is the perfect size for a Bit O Honey candy, making it an inexpensive but memorable party favor.

I love when a simple project can be customized for almost any occasion—and this one will definitely be making another appearance in my craft room.
