The 12 Projects of Christmas 2023: Project #3 Rosette Ornaments

After lots of pieces of paper in Project #2, I opted to keep Project #3 extra simple. Two pieces of paper and gold cord, along with a couple of my favorite tools, and we've got the perfect little rosette ornament! Er...THREE ornaments with three pieces of paper (from the Joyful Specialty Designer Series Paper Pack).

I started with a piece of the Designer Series Paper, measuring 9" x 1 1/4". I used the Simply Scored Scoring Tool to score that piece of paper every 1/4". Note that I flipped the DSP to the back side, which is white, so I could see the score lines better.

I then accordion folded that strip. Check out how perfectly the Simply Scored spaced those score lines. Each score line stacks the paper perfectly on top of the stack.

I overlapped the two ends and adhered them together...

...then brought the center together and pushed it flat to make the rosette.

I added hot glue to the center of the rosette, then added a small circle - the third smallest - from the Stylish Shapes Dies to hold the rosette together.

A punched hole with a 1/8" Handheld Circle Punch and some gold cord from the Simply Elegant Trim in the Annual Catalag finishes this simply beautiful, simply perfect rosette ornament. For links to all the products in my online store, scroll to the bottom of this post.
