In October when Stampin' Up!® was preparing us for yet another virtual event, they announced that November OnStage attendees had the option of purchasing products from the new January - June Mini Catalog 2021 (JJ21) for the purpose of doing the OnStage Make 'n Takes. How fun! These products included some of the items in the Dandy Garden Suite:
-156224 Dragonfly Garden Bundle (Dragonfly Garden stamp set, Dragonflies punch)
-154299 Ladybug Trinkets
-154298 Mossy Meadow 3/16" Braided Linen Trim
-154297 Dandy Garden 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
The make 'n takes we made during OnStage were super cute and quite easy to put together:
The Designer Series Paper features the colors Blackberry Bliss, Bumblebee, Calypso Coral, Misty Moonlight, and Mossy Meadow. Interesting colors together for sure, but they definitely work! I love this suite, and have completely fallen in love with dragonflies.
When I started playing with the items we were able to purchase, the first thing I made was this quick and easy card completely out of the Designer Series Paper color scheme, because I had some leftover pieces from a couple other projects.
I started with a piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock (sadly, no longer available...waiting for the Thick Basic White!) cut 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and folded in half. I then took my leftover pieces of Misty Moonlight and Seaside Spray cardstock, which I had cut from our Stitched Rectangles dies. I textured the Misty Moonlight rectangle with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder, then layered it onto the Seaside Spray cardstock. The beautiful 1/4" Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon is the perfect accessory for this card, so I wrapped that around the two layers and tied it in a bow. I had a leftover Whisper White label from the Tasteful Labels Dies, so I stamped the sentiment from Dragonfly Garden in Misty Moonlight ink and popped that up with Stampin' Dimensionals over the ribbon. Finally, I stamped the dragonfly in Misty Moonlight ink on a scrap of Whisper White cardstock and used the wing filler stamp to color those wings with Seaside Spray ink. After punching out the dragonfly with the Dragonflies punch and attaching it to the label with Mini Glue Dots, I had to add more shimmer by adding Wink of Stella to the wings. So yummy! What do you think of the Misty Moonlight and Seaside Spray color combination? I absolutely love it!
Need more convincing that these dragonflies are a must-have? Check out these other samples, some of which I will feature in tutorial videos in the future!
Products in the Dandy Garden Suite are available starting January 5 in my online store.
