Last Chance: Peace & Joy

When I first go through a new catalog, there are always a few things that stand out. Do you have that happen to you? You see things for the first time, and some things just strike you a little differently. There are those items you MUST have! When I first opened the August - December Mini Catalog (AD20 Mini Catalog) online, I scrolled and spotted something that immediately went to the top of my list: the Peace & Joy Bundle.

I just love the way the dies can create fantastic layers for the words "Bright," "Peace," and "Joy," and don't involve hand cutting each layer. It really makes for simple card-making, with just a few cranks on the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine handle.

Of course, because this bundle was on the top of my list, I ordered it on the first order I could place from that AD20. When I received it, I immediately decided to use it for a swap for which I had signed up. It was fun to play with the new products, and here is the very first result.

I started with a Z-fold card base out of Night of Navy card stock. The card stock was cut 4 1/4" x 11", and scored at 2 3/4" and 5 1/2". Typically the "z" would open to the left, but in this case, I have it opening to the right, then added a mini card out of Whisper White card stock that is cut 2 3/4" x 8", then folded in half. Can you picture how it's put together? Open the "Merry and Bright" part to the left, then the "z" to the right. Quite the fun fold!

Perhaps an aerial view helps:

"Merry" and "And" is stamped in Night of Navy ink. The most detailed "Bright" is cut from Brushed Metallic card stock, which is currently found in the AD20 Mini Catalog, and will return in the JD21 (July-December 2021) Mini Catalog. The next "Bright" layer is made from Whisper White and stamped in Night of Navy ink. Finally, the most blobby "Bright" is cut from the star paper in the Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper pack, which is retiring and currently on sale during our Year-end Clearance.

Add a few rhinestones, and you've got yourself a pretty fun card! For a full list of supplies used on this card and links to my online store, see below. Don't delay! The Bundle and DSP are only available while supplies last!
