Flip It, then Flip It Again!

Wednesday morning before heading to my day job, I sat down to plan out what I was going to make for What's Up! Stampers? on Wednesday afternoon. I ended up late for work. Why? I couldn't stop playing! When I started designing this card, the creative juices were just too strong. Do you ever do that, where you can't stop because you don't want to lose your train of thought or you're afraid if you quit and come back to it later, things just might not flow as well?

Seriously, though. The more time I spent on this card, the more I loved it and needed to finish. I used the Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper throughout the card. I love the black and white paired with the Fall colors. It's been awhile since I've used the Nature's Harvest Bundle, so I decided to pair the two together for this AMAZING fun-fold card.

The outside of the card looks simple, but wait! There's more!

*FLIP!*

That's right! Flip the front of the card up to reveal the next beautiful scene.

I used the dies to cut a couple of the stems out of Crumb Cake cardstock. I cut the stem on the left out of the Designer Series Paper (DSP), as well, and cut off and adhered the flowers from the DSP over the Crumb Cake flowers.

For the large flower, I cut one out of Mossy Meadow cardstock, which is what I used as the flower's base. I cut another out of Crushed Curry cardstock, then cut the flower off with my Paper Snips and attached it over the Mossy Meadow. I colored the center of the flower with a Dark Soft Suede Stampin' Blend. I love the Rustic Metallic Dots in the flower centers, too.

Take a closer look.

*FLIP!*

When you open the card as you usually would (flip left!), yet another panel is revealed - some stamped leaves in Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze inks with a tree branch, and a beautiful sentiment.

The tree branch is another of the dies, which I cut out in Soft Suede cardstock.

This card has a lot of pieces. Let me walk you through what you need to recreate it.

"Regular" card without the flap

Basic Black cardstock:

-8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored in half at 4 1/4"

Plaid Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper:

-4" x 5 1/4"

Basic White cardstock:

-3 1/4" x 4 1/2"

Open the card...

Crushed Curry pattern of the Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper:

-4" x 5 1/4"

Basic White cardstock:

-4" x 5 1/4" (add tree branch, leaves, and sentiment)

Top-lift flap

Basic Black cardstock:

-3 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored 1/2" from the top edge. That gets adhered to the inside of the regular card by that 1/2" (see pic below) before the white gets adhered over that panel.

Cajun Craze Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper:

-3 1/4" x 4 3/4"

Leaf Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper (inside):

-3 1/4" x 4 3/4"

Not quite sure how this came together? Watch me create it by clicking here. You can also see all the products I used on this card, along with links to the products in my online store, at the end of this blog post.

I LOVE FUN FOLDS!!!!

Happy stamping, my friends!

Amy
