Fun fold cards are kind of my thing. I love them. I look for new fun fold ideas all the time then remind myself that there are some great "oldies," too. A lot of times there are many variations to the same fold. This is one of them. The crossover is a variation on the gate fold card. A gate fold card is a card whose front opens to both sides from the middle. The crossover does open that way, as well, but has pieces that span across the front of a card, one attached to the left side and one attached to the right, so they open different ways with the gate fold. Let me show you what I mean.
The top crossover piece is attached to the left side gate fold, and the bottom one to the right side. Although it may look complicated, it's really quite simple to put together. Paper sizes are as follows:
Basic Black: 4 1/4" x 11", scored 2 3/4" from each end
Real Red: Two pieces 2" x 5 1/4"
Whisper White: 4" x 5 1/4" for the inside; 1 7/8" x 5 1/8"
Playful Pets Designer Series Paper: 1 7/8" x 5 1/8"
