One of the reasons I'm so glad that Stampin' Up!® has extended the sales period for its mini catalogs is because of how hard I fall for some of the products in it. As an active business-minded demonstrator, I have made the decision to use only current products in classes and public demonstrations. So when limited time products come out and I fall in love with them, I use them as much as possible. Having 6 months with mini catalog products now gives me a great opportunity to use products, let them sit, and come back to them...which is what I did today with the Intricate Leaves Dies from the July-December 2021 Mini Catalog (JD21 Mini). I used them a bunch in the Fall...
Each of these cards pairs the dies with the Gorgeous Leaves stamp set, and the two products were sold as a bundle in the JD21 Mini. But what's a girl to do when the stamps are sold out but the dies are still available? Well, there are actually plenty of options!
Today during What's Up! Stampers?, I decided to use the outline dies to make a perfect little mask for using the blending brushes and some pretty green inks!
I started with a piece of scrap cardstock (color makes no difference) that measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". I ran the cardstock through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine with the outline dies lined up at a diagonal from upper left to lower right. I ran the cardstock through a second time with a couple of the dies to finish the design. I then put that piece of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" leaf mask onto Basic White cardstock and used Blending Brushes to apply the Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen ink to the mask.
The paper sizes for this card are as follows...
Basic White cardstock:
-Small oval from the Double Oval Punch
-3 7/8" x 5 1/8"
Gold Foil Sheets:
-4" x 5 1/4" (small leaf cut from the middle of it)
Soft Succulent cardstock:
-Scalloped oval from the Double Oval Punch
-5 1/2" x 8 1/2"
Ever Eden Designer Series Paper (retires January 4):
-5/8" x 3 1/2"
Watch the What's Up! Stampers video here. For a complete list of supplies and links to my online store, see below. The sentiment I used is from the Sale-a-bration 2022 brochure, and don't forget the dies and Designer Series Paper are no longer available, starting Tuesday, January 4, 2022!
Saying good-bye has a bright side...we get to say hello to all the fabulous NEW products! Hello, JJ22 Mini Catalog and Sale-a-bration Brochure 2022! We'll see you Tuesday!
Happy stamping!
