Who Can Resist Fall?

Leave it to a pretty Fall card to distract me from what I should be doing right now - getting my ducks in a row before leaving for our son's wedding.I haven't blogged about a project in months, but a Fall leaf card on the first day of Fall calls for a blog post, don't you think?
When planning for this special Monday edition of What's Up! Stampers, I had in mind to use one of the templates Stampin' Up!® shares in the September-December 2025 Mini Catalog.

Here's the one I picked.

When using the templates from the catalog, thinking outside of the box will provide you with so many opportunities. So for this one, I decided to use leaves from the Natural Botanicals stamp set instead of the four squares. This stamp set is so cool because it is reversible. The shadow image is on one side of the photopolymer stamp, and you can flip the stamp over to find the detail. Notice that not all the reversible stamps fit perfectly together when you flip them over. If the outline image leans right, its shadow leans left. These are NOT meant to fit perfectly together when stamped.

With three pretty leaves in the set, I added a sentiment stamped on one of the Nested Essentials Dies for the fourth and final "square." I fussy cut the leaves to get them ready for this great layout.

One other thing I really wanted to make note of is the color combination I used on this card.

Each month I post a creative challenge to my Stampin' Up! team members. This month I posed this color combination to them, and I thought I'd try it for myself. The caveats for this challenge are that A dark ink is allowed for outline (line-art) stamps (I used Early Espresso) and white or vanilla cardstock is also allowed (I used Very Vanilla).

Paper sizes for this card are simple. Besides the scraps for the leaves and label, I used a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock for the card base: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored in half at 4 1/4". The square behind the leaves is a 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" piece of Splendid Autumn Designer Series Paper, embossed with the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder.
You can see a complete list of supplies I used on this project below. Thanks for checking out my first creative blog project in awhile. It feels good!
Happy creating!
Amy
