We Deserve to Relax!

We take care of people, we stress, we go to work, we worry, we make dinner, we clean, we take care of our pets, we generally make sure everyone is ok. Does this sound familiar? If you're a woman, I hope you had an opportunity to relax yesterday on Mother's Day. Whether a mom or not, I feel like Mother's Day is the perfect opportunity for women to just "be." What is your go-to way to relax? For me, my feet up in the recliner is really great. A nap is a bonus. But...if I really want to relax and enjoy myself, I stamp.

The card I'm sharing today brightens my mood while reminding me that it's ok to relax! I've earned it! The first time I saw the Tropical Oasis Suite in the January-June Mini Catalog, I knew it was a suite I needed to get my hands on. I am in love with all of the products, and the stamp that says "Rest & Relax YOU DESERVE IT" is one that I've used multiple times over the past few months because it just makes me happy. And isn't it the perfect sentiment for a retirement, too?

So let's chat about this card. The background features our smooth as silk Watercolor Pencils and the Assortment 2.

Watercolor Pencils: Calypso Coral, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, and Old Olive

Watercolor Pencils, Assortment 2: Crushed Curry

It's important to use the Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper on this one, because when you blend the pencils with an Aqua Painter or water brush, the end result is the perfect watercolor background. Imagine the background in other colors. Oh, lala!

The sunset I created and the pineapple cut-out from the In the Tropics Dies really seem to reiterate the relaxation theme of this card. Just relax and breathe!
