This one may be simple, but it is gorgeous! Just a little different than a regular gatefold card, this one has a large gap between the two gates. I didn't really know what to call it, so I just added that word "gap" to the Gatefold card name. Silly, maybe, but descriptive, for sure.
The gorgeousness of the card really comes from the combination of products I used to create it.
I started with a piece of Lost Lagoon cardstock, measuring 7 3/4" x 5 1/2", and I scored it 1 3/4" from each end. This created the simple gatefold with a gap. The outside flaps are decorated with two pieces of Snowflake Magic Specialty Designer Series Paper that measure 1 1/2" x 5 1/2".
The focal point is made from a piece of silver foil sheets. I started with a piece of the silver 4" x 4", then cut used the amazing Labels Aglow and Deckled Circles Dies to give it the look it has. I adhered that focal point just to the left gate. When opened, this card is finished with a piece of 4" x 5 1/4" Basic White cardstock and the "Merry Christmas" from Brightest Glow stamp set stamped in Lost Lagoon cardstock.
I love how that focal point covers up the gap over the inside sentiment when the card is closed. Again, so simple, but so beautiful.
You can watch me make the card here, and you can find the products I used to create the card - along with links to my online store - at the bottom of this blog post.
Happy gapping! 😂
