Did you know...

that in the back of the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog, there is a treasure hidden? Typically Stampin' Up!® has a special host stamp set in the Mini Catalogs. It's a stamp set that can be "purchased" only using the free host dollars hosts/purchasers earn with a party/order of $150 or more. When I went through this JJ21 Mini Catalog the first couple of times, I didn't see one. Imagine my surprise when another demonstrators made some samples with the JJ21 Mini host stamp set, when I thought it wasn't there! And oh, it's a special one!

Why is it so special? Because this stamp set is called Suite Sampler, and it features stamps that coordinate with several of the Suites in the JJ21 Mini Catalog. I love being able to use these stamps with the coordinating Designer Series Papers from each of their respective Suites, as well.

This stamp from Suite Sampler coordinates with the Fine Art Floral Suite. I started with a quarter sheet of Poppy Parade cardstock for my card base, and it measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". The Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper I used here is 3" x 4", and the Basic White piece on the top section is 2 1/8" x 4". This fun fold card is one that I shared on Stamp Together Saturday on January 30, 2021. The Basic White folded piece measures 2" x 8" and is folded in half and layers on a piece of Poppy Parade cardstock that is 2 1/4" x 4 1/4". A little Fine Tip Glue and Gilded Leafing highlights the beautiful flowers. The sentiment comes from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set.

This card uses a flying dragonfly stamp that, of course, coordinates with the Dandy Garden Suite in the JJ21 Mini Catalog. Three strips of Dandy Garden DSP layer nicely onto a piece of 3 1/2" x 4 1/4" Basic White cardstock. I used a z-folded Misty Moonlight card base which was cut 4 1/4" x 11". There is also a Basic White layer that measures 4" x 5 1/4" on the inside of the card. The Dragonfly is stamped on vellum cardstock in Calypso Coral ink, then embossed in clear embossing powder. I stamped another on white in Calypso Coral ink, attached them together at the bodies, and then cut them both out with my paper snips. The final sparkle was done by coloring 3 rhinestones with a Dark Calypso Coral Stampin' Blend.

Finally, this last one uses a stamp that coordinates with the Hydrangea Hill Suite. I stamped it in Jet Black Staz On ink then watercolored with my water painters in Misty Moonlight, Highland Heather, and Old Olive ink. I LOVE this fun fold! There is a mini card on which the hydrangea is placed with Stampin' Dimensionsals. The mini card is made from Misty Moonlight cardstock that is 3" x 6" and folded in half. The Highland Heather layer on the front of the mini card is 2 3/4" square, along with a Basic White piece on the inside. The card base is also made from Misty Moonlight ink. This one measures 4 1/4" x 8 1/4", scored at 5 1/2", so the flap is 2 3/4". The larger Highland Heather layer on this card measures 4" x 5 1/4", and the Hydrangea Hill DSP is 2 1/2" x 4". I also colored the crinkled seam binding using the Light Highland Heather Stampin' Blends Marker. The fun fold on this is simple...the smaller card opens left, then the flap on the card base opens right. So cool!

So I guess the moral of the story is: Look at EVERYTHING in the catalogs! And...place your host sized order or have a virtual or a catalog party. Get yourself something fun and free that will go with all that beautiful Designer Series Paper you have from the JJ21 Mini!

Stampin' Blessings,

Amy
