Buy & Try, Featuring Jolly Holly

Several years ago now, I started Buy & Try classes. The premise is that if you pay for the class, you are buying some products from my online store that we then use in the class. The Buy & Try classes are held on Facebook Live on my business page. Anyone can watch, but only paid class attendees receive the supplies for class and the PDF with paper sizes, supply lists, and cutting instructions. You can find details for Buy & Try classes on my Buy & Try page - the link is at the top of this page or here.

This past Tuesday, Buy & Try featured the Jolly Holly Bundle from the July 1 release of the new Online Exclusives. I mean, how can I not celebrate Christmas in July?

We made four Christmas cards using this bundle using a variety of techniques.

Card #1: I CASEd (Copy and Selectively Edit) a card from the Online Store. I changed the colors but kept the amazing layout. Isn't it cool how the label tucks under the holly leaves cut by the Hybrid Embossing Folder?

Card #2: I used the embossing folder to emboss about 2/3 of the Basic White cardstock, then watercolored the images using a water painter and ink from the Garden Green and Real Red ink pads.

Card #3: I used the Hybrid Embossing Folder, then cut some of the leaves from it to tuck behind the label. But my favorite part of this card, I think, (besides the plaid Designer Series Paper, I guess 😂) are the bells. Look how pretty they look when colored with Daffodil Delight and Old Olive Stampin' Blends and a little Crushed Curry Stampin' Write Marker.

Card #4: Using the rectangle dies from the Hybrid Embossing Folder Die set, I cut three pieces from the Marbled Elegance Designer Series Paper. Staggering them across the front of the card, I then added some poinsettias stamped using the Jolly Holly stamps set and cut using the Jolly Holly Hybrid Embossing Folder dies. Sweet, isn't it?
