Stamps, ink, and paper (+a punch) is the winning combination for this super simple - and not necessarily so Christmasy - Christmas card! I relied on lots of red and white, some candy cane-like stripes, and a Santa sentiment to make it feel like Christmas, and I think it worked!
The star of this show is both the Medley Mix stamp set, soon retiring from the September-December 2023 Mini Catalog, and the Inked & Tiled Punch Pack, which coordinates with the stamp set and is found in the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog.
See? Not Christmasy at all, but when I saw the stripes in the one stamp, I felt like mimicking a candy cane could be fun. I also loved the idea of using two types of medium to crate the tiled focal point, so the One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Series Paper punched and the stamped stripes perfectly carried out my vision. And that's always fun, isn't it? When things go together as you see it in your head?
I started with a piece of 3 3/4" x 5" Basic White cardstock, then stamped the corners with the stripey stamp.
Then I added the punched piece between the two and stamped more stripeys under that.
Followed by more Designer Series Paper pieces.
Then finished it with the final bit of stsamping.
After stamping the sentiment, I layered that onto a piece of 3 7/8" x 5 1/8" piece of Real Red cardstock, then onto a Thick Basic White card base measuring 4 1/4" x 11", scored in half at 5 1/2". I finished the card off with 5 Classic Matte Dots colored with a Real Red Stampin' Blend Marker.
