The design of this card for Project #2 is simple. There are several varieties of Split-front cards, but this one can be done in a hurry. I've seen some of these types of cards with a smaller space in the split, but I wanted to maximize the split for this one, to make sure my handiwork between the split is showcased.
So how did I do that plaid in the center? It's not a stamp, and it's not Designer Series Paper by Stampin' Up!®. What it IS is awesome. I used the Artistic Mix Decorative Masks to create the plaid with Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent ink and Blending Brushes.
Last year when the Merriest Moments stamp set and Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder/Dies where in the July-December 2021 Mini Catalog, I had decided not to purchase them. But when it was announced that both items would be a Returning Fave in this year's July-December Mini Catalog, I snatched them up! The stamp set is just gorgeous, so it was a happy addition to my stamp collection.
To bridge the gap between the split front, I layered a beautiful poinsettia from this Merriest Moments, stamped in Merry Merlot ink, flanked by Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent, and Old Olive greenery, and cut out using the coordinating dies.
To recreate this card, you can cut the paper as follows:
Thick Basic White cardstock:
-4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2"
