My Alternate Projects aren't Just for Paper Pumpkin Subscribers!

Do you ever scroll Pinterest just for new and fun card ideas with a twist? I'm on there all the time looking for my next fun fold card idea or unique layout. Pinterest is such a great resource! When I got my February 2021 Paper Pumpkin kit in the mail, as you may know, the first thing I did was try to come up with an alternate project to make with my Paper Pumpkin subscribers. With the beautiful vellum in the kit in mind, off I went to Pinterest to search for a cool vellum card idea. What I found was a beauty by Linda Bedinger that features both vellum AND a piece of Window Sheet, which, of course, we sell in the catalog.

Using Linda's layout and design and my pieces from the February Paper Pumpkin Kit, here's the happy result:

I used a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Rococo Rose card base from the kit and cut off 2 1/4" from the front side. I think layered the 3" x 5 1/2" Window Sheet to the short card front so that it matched up with the top, bottom, and right hand sides of the card base.

I adhered a 7" piece of Fine Art 3/8" Ribbon down the edge of a piece of 2"+ x 5 1/2" piece of Merry Merlot cardstock, then adhered that cardstock over the left side of the card base.

Next, I opened the card and adhered the 4" x 5 1/4" piece of vellum (in this case, very very pretty vellum!) in the center of the front of the card, being careful to keep the adhesive under just the right side of the vellum.

I then covered the adhesive with another panel of Merry Merlot cardstock, again measuring 2 1/16" x 5 1/2".

I used flower pieces from the kit and a ribbon bow to embellish the card, but of course, if you're not using Paper Pumpkin pieces, choose a stamped image that will compliment your project. I adhered one of the flower sprays using Stampin' Dimensionals, and the other I adhered flat, under the Window Sheet. I added some leaves from the Pierced Blooms Dies, too!

If you'd prefer to see this card made in live-action, watch it here, and for a list of the extra supplies I used that are not from the February '21 Paper Pumpkin kit, along with their links, see below.
