When I purchased the Starter Kit in 2001, things were a LOT different. There were two options for
the kit. The Standard Starter Kit could be purchased for $195. Items in the kit was "...an economical choice with versatile pre-selected stamps, accessories, and business supplies..." The Elective Starter Kit could be purchased for $295, and that one contained "even more stamps and accessories, and also allows you to choose your own stamp sets and some accessories to build a kit custom-made for you!" I got those words right out of the 2001-2002 Idea Book & Catalog, which was actually released just after I started as a demonstrator.
Today's kit looks quite a bit differently, in a very good way. The current catalog states: "Join now and build your Starter Kit, by selecting $125 of products for only $99." I love that you get to choose everything in your kit now, and for such a good price! In addition, you receive FREE SHIPPING on your kit AND you receive a previous Paper Pumpkin kit to try. So much value for your dollar.
