I suddenly <heart> this time of year

I'll be the first to admit that Valentine's Day is not a holiday I go super ga-ga over. My husband and I tell each other we love each other every day, and dinner is about all we try to do out and alone on February 14. I don't even usually purchase all the adorable Valentine's Day products we carry from year to year. That being said, I do like the sweet projects we make at this time of year. And this year...THIS year...wow, Stampin' Up!® You definitely outdid yourself! There are three amazing Valentines-y bundles that really - when you break it down - have so many more uses than just Valentine's Day. Just like my husband and I saying "I love you" every day, heart themed products have a use every day. Let's take a quick peek at all three amazing bundles.

Lots of Heart is the bundle that first struck me when I opened the catalog. I don't usually purchase the Valentines-y products you say? Correct, I don't. But here it is. The cutest heart bundle yet, but yet not overtly Valentine. So I caved. (Truthfully, I think it's because of that darn buffalo check heart.) You'll notice that I didn't get all crazy red and pink over this bundle, either. Well, except, perhaps, the project I shared last Friday.

For this one I didn't have to cut any cardstock with my trimmer - just a couple of hearts with the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. I used Basic White Notecards & Envelopes, so I didn't even have to cut that!

For this one, simply use a Pool Party cardstock base cut 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", then cut out some hearts with the Many Hearts Dies in both Pool Party and Pretty Peacock. Where do the flowers come from? The Lots of Love stamp set with a die to match! I simply colored the flowers with Stampin' Blends.

I used a Blushing Bride cardstock base. I cut it 4 1/4" x 8 1/4", and I scored at 5 1/2" so that the front is a half-front. I cut the Love You Always Specialty Designer Series Paper 2 1/2" x 4", then cut a 2 1/4" square and cut diagonally in half to make the tuck pocket. I love this fun fold! So simple! The blended cardstock on the front of the card is Basic White that is 3" x 4", layered with Sahara Sand that is 3 1/4" x 4 1/4".

Now that you know that the heart products captured my heart this year, I'll have to admit...so did January's Valentine's Paper Pumpkin kit. Yes - the cards the kit makes are adorable, but what about my alternate project? Such a fun card! For a full tutorial, watch the attached video.
