Do the 2-step!

After quite a hiatus from sharing creative blog posts, I'm back with a quick post featuring last Wednesday's What's Up! Stampers? card. I just love sharing with you, especially when there are so many beautiful new products, just waiting to be discovered.

When Stampin' Up!® started grouping products in suites, it was really genius. Having several products that coordinate - and being able to purchase them all with one slick order number - makes shopping easy. One of our newest suites is the Fancy Flora Suite from the January-April 2023 Mini Catalog.

The Fancy Flora Suite is considered a mega suite because it includes two bundles. The Something Fancy Bundle provides the sentiments, along with labels that will cut out those sentiments...but so much more! Those labels have quickly become my favorite labels to use for many projects. The Two-Tone Flora bundle provides beautiful options for flowers that can be stamped in two steps. There are two stamps to create the floral images: one for the entire flower, then one that provides the detail.

The Fancy Flora Designer Series Paper in this bundle is so beautiful, and the gems bring that sparkle that we love to put on our projects. Just gorgeous!

When I put it all together on Wednesday afternoon, this was the result:

I made the flower using Orchid Oasis ink, along with that two step process I described above. I used two stamps to make the perfect image. for the larger image, I inked the stamp, then stamped it off on a piece of scratch paper before stamping it on my Basic White cardstock. For the detailed image, I inked the stamp and stamped it directly in position over the larger image. The result: gorgeous detail that makes me happy when I look at it. And check out that beautiful die-cut floral image that provides the backdrop. LOVE!

The paper measurements for this card are as follows...

Thick Basic White cardstock:

-5 1/2" x 8 1/2"

Basic White cardstock:

-5 3/8" x 4"

-Label from the Something Fancy Dies

-Scrap for flower

-Scrap for leaves

Orchid Oasis cardstock:

-7/8" x 4 1/8"

Fancy Flora Designer Series Paper:

-3/4" x 4"

Watch me make this card during What's Up! Stampers? and at the end of this blog post see a list of the supplies I used to make it, along with links to the products in my online store.

Love what you are seeing here? Join me and two other demonstrators as we offer a fantastic day of stamping fun that we are calling Super Stamping Sunday! The Fancy Flora Suite will be featured, along with the Sweet Citrus Bundle and the Enjoy the Journey Suite. You don't need to have the bundles or suites to participate! Read all the details at superstampingsunday.com, and please let me know if you have any questions.

Happy stamping, my friends!

Amy
