Be Like Cinderella

Just as Cinderella was transported to Royal Ball in her paper carriage, so we are transported to our happy crafting place with Paper Pumpkin. Although kinda hokey, the whole thing makes sense to me. It does make me happy to paper craft with simplicity but yet have the flexibility to get creative with the Paper Pumpkin supplies.

Each month, I create at least one alternate project with the Paper Pumpkin kit. I typically film a video tutorial for YouTube on how to make my project, but for December's kit, the holiday and an illness put me behind. The kit makes these adorable boxes with many different options:

One of the newest things Stampin' Up!® has started to do with Paper Pumpkin is offer add-ons to the kits for Paper Pumpkin subscribers only. For the month of December, the add-on was a package of adorable coordinating cards and envelopes. I believe they are no longer available, but you could totally make my alternate card using a regular cardstock base.

Here's my adorable alternate project - a simple easel card.

I first cut the 5 1/2" width of the card base to 4 1/4", so that when the card was folded in half (with the color of the card base on the inside), it was square. I then scored a diagonal line from the upper right corner of the card front to the lower left corner. I used box pieces from the Paper Pumpkin kit cut to fit the front of the card, then grabbed a die cut circle, label, and graduation cap to provide the details. The only thing I really added on to this card that was not from the kit or the add-on is the Basic White Crinkled Seam Binding. Cute as can be!

I'm currently waiting for my January kit to arrive, but as we look forward to February's kit, it's exciting to know that the stamp set in the kit has two matching dies subscribers can purchase as an add-on to the kit. <3

Paper Pumpkin subscriptions can be purchased by automatic billing each month, but Sale-a-bration is the perfect time to purchase those pre-paid subscriptions. This chart helps us know why:

Purchasing a 3, 6, or 12 month pre-paid subscription also allows you to choose free Sale-a-bration (SAB) items, besides! In addition, when you purchase one of these pre-paid subsciptions during SAB, I'll send you a code for one more month absolutely FREE!

You can shop those pre-paid subscriptions in my online store here. When you purchase these, you can choose when you'd like to start receiving Paper Pumpkin. Redeem your code on or before February 10, and you'll start with February's kit. Wait until after February 10, and you will begin with March.

If you have any questions, please contact me. I can walk you through the process so you're sure to get that first kit without a hitch!

Does the glass slipper fit? Give it a try for your paper crafting happily ever after!

Happy Paper Pumpkining!
