Warm and Cozy Leaves

Why is it that leaf stamps have a tendency - for me, at least - to be used in the Fall with Fall colors? It just comes so naturally. The nights cool off, the days get shorter, and I feel like stamping Fall leaves. The other thing is, I feel like I always go back to the same colors. Since lately I've been stamping Fall leaves in Fall colors, I decided to issue a customer Color Challenge in these colors:

Cajun Craze, Bumblebee, and Early Espresso. Anyone who would like to participate can share a pic of your project in my special Color Challenge thread on Facebook, or send me an email (button at the bottom of the page). Here are the rules:

  • Make a project using ALL of these Stampin' Up!® colors and NO OTHER colors: Cajun Craze, Bumblebee (can substitute Crushed Curry), Early Espresso, and white or vanilla (black ink may be used for an line-art stamp)

  • The project must use only Stampin' Up!® products, whether retired or current

  • You must post a picture of your project in this thread. I'll pin this post to the top of my stampinnut Facebook page so it's easy to find.

  • Challenge ends Saturday, August 28, at noon central time.

  • All those who participate will be entered into a drawing for a free gift!

Wednesday on What's Up! Stampers? I made a leaf card with these colors, plus Crumb Cake.

For the background, I used the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper, then stamped leaves on it from Gorgeous Leaves in Early Espresso ink.

Leaves from the Intricate Leaves Dies do all the work on the focal point, and the Linen Thread bow and Diamond Weave Ribbon are the perfect accents to this warm and cozy card. Watch me put this card together in my latest What's Up! Stampers? Facebook Live.
