More Cradle Cards

Whew! What a day! This morning I got up and went to work. I left work and immediately left for the airport. I flew to Mesa, Arizona, I met with some truly amazing members of my team (stay tuned until Sunday for those details), followed by a glass or two of wine with my best childhood friend, whom I haven't gotten to spend good, quality time with since before Covid. It always feels like home when we're together.

Although my intentions were to finish this blog post earlier today - perhaps at the airport - I just had to enjoy the day. So many good and happy things.

With that being said, I'm now sitting in bed at my friend, Rachel's house in Arizona, surrounded by love, but compelled to share some of my new favorite fun fold cards (and completely goofed up by time and space): the Cradle card. In Tuesday's blog post, I shared a Cradle card for the very first time, and it was made as an alternate Paper Pumpkin project. But what can we do with a Cradle card apart from Paper Pumpkin? So many pretty things!

Let's start with the one I made during What's Up! Stampers on Wednesday.

I combined the Splendid Day Designer Series Paper with the super cute Lovely You stamp set. I decided for this Cradle card to use a different color cardstock for the cradle and the card proper - a little Soft Seafoam on the top and Sahara Sand on the bottom. And don't you just love how the Designer Series Paper is shiny on one side with a matte design on the other? You can watch me create this card here.

I also played a little with the Santa Express Suite, probably because I've been playing with it for Tuesday's Buy & Try class. I used much of the Suite Collection to crate this card, along with Stampin' blends in different colors, which steals the show. The bold, bright color is really a necessary way to color the stamps from this stamp set, in my opinion.

And finally, the last Cradle fold card I'd like to share today is made using some products from the new Fitting Florets Collection. Demonstrators have been able to pre-order these items during the month of October, but customers can get their hands on them starting Tuesday, November 1. I'll share more about the Collection in my next couple of blog posts, but for now, enjoy this sneak peek.

Again, you can find all the details and measurements for a Cradle card on Tuesday's blog post. Click here.

Happy stamping! I look forward to sharing the fourth in The 12 Projects of Christmas 2022 later on Friday. Come back to see an adorable card with a modern color combo!
