Masterfully Made Goes Christmas

Sometimes I just love to think outside the box. When I think of the Masterfully Made Suite Collection, I don't typically think of Christmas.

As I was preparing for a presentation I was making at a demonstrator event, I decided to think Christmas when working with this suite so that everyone could see the possibilities beyond the obvious. I started by carefully choosing two Designer Series Papers (DSP) from the Masterfully Made DSP pack. The Berry Burst and Pretty Peacock designs seemed the most Christmasy, so off I went.

The next thing I really wanted to showcase on my card was the White Center Specialty Paper from the Annual Catalog. This paper contains a few of the colors from the Masterfully Made DSP, so I chose Fresh Freesia. Cutting that into four 1" strips and taking some Bubble Bath Soft Shimmer Paper and doing the same, was how I decided to make one of the ornaments I wanted on my card. To mimic the tearing of the DSP, I tore the 1" x 3" strips and layered them onto a piece of Basic White cardstock before punching a circle out of it with a 2" Circle Punch.

A Thick Basic White card base, a bit of stamping, and three ornaments make this a gorgeous Christmas card. I accessorized using the Adhesive-backed Sequins Trio from the Masterfully Made Suite and the Online Exclusive Gold & Silver Trim Combo Pack.

You can watch as I put this card together here. See a list of supplies I used - along with links to my online store - at the bottom of this post.

This suite caught my eye my first time through the catalog, and I'm so glad I ordered it. It has so many amazing possibilities, using the items in the suite alone or combining the items in the suite with other products. Here are some more eye-catching cards that might spark your creativity.

This simple one only uses the stamp set and completely different than the rest, but I love it!
