Halloween Memories Scrapbooking Workshop Kit

New Stampin' Up!® products are my favorite, especially when new product lines are introduced. The Scrapbooking Workshop Kits are something our former Close to My Heart friends enjoyed, and now Stampin' Up! has an expanded scrapbooking line to offer these kits, as well. The kits are great because they include all of the products and measurements to create three 2-page 12" x 12" scrapbook layouts. The Halloween Memories Kits so much fun and includes:

* Supplies to make three two-page scrapbook spreads

* Step-by-step instructions

* Exclusively designed patterned paper

* Two-tone cardstock sheets

* Printed stickers and die-cut images

* Photo placeholders

Here is one of the layouts this kit is designed to create:

So cute! I can't wait to make mine using pictures of the kids from years ago. But if you know me, I can't always leave well enough alone. 😆 So on a Wednesday during What's Up! Stampers on Facebook, I just had to use the supplies in this kit to make a card. I used a couple of the printed stickers, some of the printed paper, and the INCREDIBLE Two-tone cardstock. I'm in love with this paper. One side is a lighter and one is a darker of the Granny Apple Green color. Think of how the Stampin' Blends come in a pack of two, a light and a dark, and apply the same theory to cardstock. Do you notice that the last sheets pictured below are white? We have a new 12" x 12" white cardstock named Willow White, but it used to be named Daisy White with Close to My Heart.

Back to the card I made...

One of the coolest things about the Two-tone cardstock is that it has a white core. This means that when you tear and cut the card, the white core is exposed. This brings lots of possibilities, including what I did with it:

Tearing a strip in the middle of the paper allowed me to roll back an opening and expose the white core, as well as the printed paper I layered underneath. Oh, and did you notice I used the Birch Wood 3D Embossing Folder on the cardstock? WOW. I just fell in love with these kits, and I haven't even made a scrapbook page from it yet!

You can watch as I make this card by clicking here. Note that in the video I talk about a one-day free shipping sale. That sale has passed. Sorry! You can also see a list of supplies I used to create the card, along with links to the product in my online store, at the bottom of this post.

Happy creating!

Amy
