There have been many times in the past that I have talked about kits and how amazing they are. Pre-cut, prepared projects do not have to be hokey and unkempt. Kits can contain useful, beautiful projects instead. This is definitely the case with the Gorgeous Posies Project Kit found on page 8 of the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog. I said during my Facebook Live on Wednesday that Gorgeous Posies may be the most beautiful kit we have ever had. This kit makes 16 cards - 4 each of 4 designs. To make them, it is intended that you use the Gorgeous Posies stamp set, which is sold separately. Check out all the amazing pieces that come in the kit, then what those pieces make. This kit has an apt name: Gorgeous.
Am I right? So completely gorgeous. In everything from color to design, this card kit is just stunning. And I wish the pictures did these cards justice.
So now the thought comes...the 16 cards have been completed. Now what do you do with the Gorgeous Posies stamp set? Sooooo much! Here are some cards I created using the Gorgeous Posies stamp set and other fabulous, current products:
Early Espresso card stock: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"
In Good Taste Designer Series Paper
wood grain: 4" x 5 1/4"
textile: 1 1/2" x 5 1/2"
Very Vanilla card stock: 3/4" x 4 3/4"
Balmy Blue cardstock: 4 1/4" x 11"
Basic White cardstock: 3" x 3 3/4" and a scrap for the 1 1/2" circe
Daffodil Delight cardstock scrap for the Tailored Tag punch
Neutrals 2021 Designer Series Paper: 4" x 5 1/2"
Subtles and Brights 2021 Designer Series Paper: three pieces 1/2" x 2"
(How do you get your hands on those Designer Series Paper packs that aren't going to be released until May '21? Contact me!)
Probably my favorite of the bunch is this monochomatic Sarah Sand card. It turned out just stunningly, especially with that strip of Love You Always Specialty Designer Series Paper.
Sarah Sand cardstock: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"
Sahara Sand Foil Sheets: 3 3/4" x 5"
Sahara Sand Specialty DSP: 1" x 3 3/4"
Basic White cardstock: 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" and a scrap for the flower, which is then fussy cut.
Don't miss the amazing Wink of Stella on the flower and leaves!
I hope this inspires you to take a second look at kits. Not only are they fun, but the stamp sets that coordinate with those kits have so many possibilities!
Stamping blessings,
Amy
