A Unique Layout for Stamp Together

Each Saturday when we meet on Facebook to make a card together, my desire is to create a layout that is simple but unique in some way. This one I ran across on Pinterest really seemed different to me, different enough that it was perfect enough for Stamp Together Saturday.

Here are the measurements for the paper in this card:

To me what makes this card unique are the angled pieces down the right edge. These pieces are made from two pieces of Designer Series Paper, measuring 1 5/8" x 2 3/8". To angle these pieces, I measured 1/2" down from the upper right corner, and made a mark. I then measured 1 1/2" down from the upper left corner and made a mark there, too. Then I cut the pieces from mark to mark to make the angle. I mixed and matched those pieces, then, to create the border down the right edge of my card.

After I had shared my Stamp Together Saturday card, I started thinking about the countless possibilities for this layout. I have a presentation on the Masterfully Made Suite Collection at an upcoming demonstrator event, so I decided I would make one using that suite. I think it turned out very well.

For this one I used the Gorgeously Made Bundle for the sentiment and even the Berry Burst layer behind the label. Those jagged edges come from the die set. Check it out below.

I made the flower using the Petal Park Builder Punch. I punched the flowers out of Fresh Freesia cardstock, spritzed the pieces with water, crinkled the paper, then opened them up to dry. I love the look, and the flower reminds me a little of the flowers in the Designer Series Paper.

The next card I made uses the Delightfully Eclectic Designer Series Paper.

I chose a piece with which I wanted to create and decided to use both sides. When I cut the Designer Series at an angle, I mixed and matched the pieces to come up with this beautiful look

Great paper, isn't it? I used the Color and Contour stamp set - and the Tinsel Gems - to finish off its sweetness. So, what do you think? I think I'm loving the stamp set with this Designer Series Paper!

I'm hoping you're loving this layout as much as I am, and that you're going to give it a try. Join me every Saturday at 9:30am Central time as we make a card together on Facebook.

Happy stamping!

Amy
